  1. No either it needs to be a full MCp dir, or you need to not have one. If you want data to be put into that dir after mcp is extracted, use /fml/mcp_data Anything int here will be copied to the mcp dir.
  2. The log file in the mineraft folder Not the console log. And use spoiler tags -.-
  3. The log tells you about item id conflicts, and the game should crash on Block conflicts. Unless you're talking about in-world vs in-memory. Thats a bit more trickey and it *should* prompt you if something isnt matching when connecting to the server. And that is also logged in the log file.
  4. http://www.wikihow.com/Run-a-.Jar-Java-File 790 is borked use 789. New build will be out soon.
  5. Nothing needs fixing. Check your link.
  6. No, it doesn't. I've verified this.
  7. --nogui Just like the normal server.
  8. Why the hell are you extracting the installer? The installer is a executable jar... You're trying to run.. a json file... I don't even.....
  9. If you're wanting to install the src distro just unzip it and run install seriously dude THATS IT
  10. Interesting it should work fine with the old launcher. Define 'Old Launcher' If it doesn't work , try MultiMC it works with legacy versions.
  11. Interesting, we are i the middle of switching servers right now so something may of derped up there. I will take a look into it. However 789 should work just fine for you guys. Until i figure this out.
  12. Again to restate. Forge has never, And will never support editing of the jar file. Anyone who does so takes sole responsibility for what happens. Please speak with the authors of your jar editing mods for instructions on how to install with Forge.
  13. clicking adfly more then 3 times a day means nothing to the modders. So don't bother it's not giving money. Anyways you can edit the link on the page, jsut put a new. in front of it. The issue is your computer hasn't update the dns entry yet. There isn't anything we can do about it, it's up to your ISP/Computer to decide when it wants to refresh.
  14. 1) Capslock is bad mmkay 2) It's not down, the domains are switching to the new dedi box. If you can't access it directly, try http://new.files.minecraftforge.net/minecraftforge/ until the DNS change propagates to you.
  15. I'm not talking about you specifically. I am talking about the retarded modders who don't spend 10 mins to do there research. Optifine from what I hear is actually going to be developed into a system that both works as a jar mod and a FML Coremod. So instalation into forge setups will be a simple 'put in mods folder' Seriously, Forge/FML is open, public, and discussed openly with many many many modders. All jar modders are welcome to speak with us to help them on there way. And is NO way is what we do at Forge/FMLeffecting any Jar modders. Because we have NEVER supported jar mods. That has always been on there end. One of the MAIN points of Forge is to make it so modders don't edit the jar. The jar is our domain so that modders don't have to.
  16. Dont edit your jar, and if you do you need to do it properly. We do not support editng the jar in any way shape or form. As for all you modders out there that think you know best when it comes to modding the jar. You're just being lazy as fuck. One of the major points of the new launcher was to REMOVE THE NEED TO EDIT THE JAR. If you're a retarded modder who thinks you need to spend hours 'hacking' Forge to get things together, you're a moron. There's a flag to disable this shit ESPECIALLY FOR YOU OLD SCHOOL TWATS -.-
  17. There are issues with the Mojang launcher that are being resolved. For now manually download and place the files as instructed. http://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2/org/scala-lang/scala-library/2.10.2/scala-library-2.10.2.jar goes into %minecraft%/libraries/org/scala-lang/scala-library/2.10.2/scala-library-2.10.2.jar
  18. No, do not touch the vanilla jar AT ALL. There is no need to anymore, ever.
  19. This can be done in so many better ways without a coremod. 1) {Over the top} Use a custom IItemRenderer 2) Implement Item.isDamaged(ItemStack) in your item. #2 is recommended, much simpler.
  20. No it doesnt, that file actualyl has nothing to do with Forge itself. Thats the standard lwjgl natives that are used for all minecraft versions. And are downloaded from Mojang themselves. I think this is just a cause of your AV being over zealous.
  21. What mods do you have installed? Get us a full log so we can see.
  22. Don't edit your jar, neither of those mods need you to edit your jar. If they do then the mod author should look into fixing that.
