  1. Things change, people don't like change, so they complain about it. You should be working with the most up to date version as you can. Simple as that.
  2. We need more information. Exact Forge version, exact world info. World seeds, coordinates, etc... This is MOST likely the case when you load an existing world in a updated Minecraft version where the random generator has changed. So, post your logs, post your seed, post your coords, and screenshots.
  3. Congrats, you're making a stupid coremod. Not only is it a horrible idea, it's been done about 10,000 times before. So stop doing it. As for how to embed jars in your jar... Gradle has very good documentation on how to copy files into an archive.
  4. Not possible, please actually understand what you're asking before suggesting things we would of obviously done if it were possible.
  5. You can update the MDK's mapping version yourself. The one Forge uses is just the default that Forge was built with. We usually don't update it on Forge's end because it's a useless change that really doesn't effect end users. At the end of the day, mods get reobfed to SRG names. Which are stable and unique. If you're getting the NoSuchMethodException, then you're not building your mod correctly. The mappings are PURELY for dev time. So... No... Update it yourself.
  6. This is in no way shape or form a Suggestion, why the heck did you think this would be the best spot for it?
  7. you're doing the exact opposite of what you should do, stop using in-code recipes.
  8. Import the project twice.
  9. And this one you could of solved with a simple search. Use Java8.
  10. You're running that from your home directory. So it's looking in your home directory.
  11. Wed on't strictly follow the Java guidelines. Yes GUI is a acronym, but in the programming world, it is a word of it's own. So it can go either way. This is a non-issue.
  12. Reading is good, you have everything you need to solve this in your post.
  13. Don't send people to github if you haven't found the cause of the issue it's just spamming the site with useless crap. His post says he's getting a error calling a client only method. DO NOT CALL CLIENT ONLY METHODS ON THE SERVER. Your log CLEARLY disagrees with the function you're stating is the issue. So you don't even know what function you're trying to call. Debug here BEFORE posting on github.
  14. 1) English Only 2) We can't access files on your computer, upload your image to somewhere like imgur.com and link it there. 3) We need your log file not whatever picture that is. 4) English Only.
  15. LexManos replied to DaMarionTDW's topic in Off-topic
Complains about latest version not being out. States he is still playing 5-6 versions behind... Right...
  16. The installer has not installed a jar into that folder for a long time. And your pastebin is invalid, reupload.
  17. Congrats, you installed malware/spamware. This should teach you to only download from official sources. I advise running a deep scan of your computer with a good scanner and only ever downloading forge from our site.
  18. Welcome to the world of modding.
  19. You don't. You use the drop events.
  20. We do not support or endorse launchers or bundelers like this. Stick with Forge and the vanilla launcher.
  21. Use the proper term, Beta. These are NOT alphas. Anyways, yes the point is that average users need to take 10 seconds to find the link if they want to test. But don't complain things are broken, PROPERLY report things so we can reproduce and fix.
  22. In other words, we are not going to help you bypass the main source of income for this project. Just download and install forge normally. As for MultiMC. I don't like that they auto-install Forge without giving anything back, but they also didn't need their hand held to get it working.
