  1. Logs, this was a issue a few builds back with Tema's IItemHandler but it's been fixed since.
  2. Potentially yes, bust most of those cases are done in a different step known as the decorator which is actually done in a more.. culled/managed way to prevents extra loadings like this. It's a pain to wrap your head around, but the modder is doing it wrong.
  3. It would cause one or the other depending on where it goes. World generation SHOULD NEVER cause other chunks to load/regen.
  4. No, the issue is in com.rikmuld.camping.world, whatever mod that is. It's causing runaway world generation. They need to fix their mod.
  5. If the config is already created, then it will still load the loading screen he has to go an disable it in the config.
  6. Its possible, but no we are not going to do it. This is for technical legacy and just logic reasons. If you want to have mods that are not part of the normal folder structure we allow the passing of json list to the game to load extra mods from the classpath.
  7. Show me the full log from your launcher.
  8. I know, I told you to update. There is no reason for you to be on 1.8. Update to 1.8.9
  9. There is no error, so either you're clicking the screen and causing the 'not responding' popup, in which case just let the game load it'll be fine. Or the loading screen is not working for you which means you should edit the splash.properties file to disable the screen.
  10. Update your forge and tell us if it happens again with a new log.
  11. It doesnt attempt to download them because they exist. However your launcher is saying they do not exist. Either you are using a weird launcher that isn't behaving correctly. Of your appdata folder is in some quantem state where files both exist and don't exist... Give us a directly listing of your .minecraft folder.
  12. http://files.minecraftforge.net/maven/net/minecraftforge/forge/promotions_slim.json Its provided for reference only. As ads are how we pay for everything manual downloads are appreciated.
  13. We'll look into it when time permits. 90% certian its one of the mods you have installed screwing up our registry because we've tested these exact actions. For now, stop swapping out mods....
  14. Give me your old world and your old/new mod packs. 9 times out fo 10 its because you have a mod that is fucking with our registry stuff and screwing it up.
  15. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=RDVehicleTools And don't bump your post 3 times -.-
  16. 1.7 works just fine on macs. Propertly report issues that you are having by posting logs in the proper support section. Also in general you should update to 1.8, its over a year old...
  17. Use Gradle, you have no reason to edit base minecraft files directly. So stop.
  18. Don't be rude when asking for help, Especially if you can't follow the damn rules and you're not posting your log. However the issue is that you are indeed NOT installing 'Battlegear' correctly. Read the installation instructions carefully for that mod. There is nothing wrong with Forge, if you come here again acting rude and not following the rules for support expect a ban.
  19. You should always use the latest JDK to build with, but for the Minecraft environment you should TARGET Java 6 because that's what Minecraft itself targets. Target it by using 'targetCompatibility = 1.6' in your build.gradle.
  20. Yes, pretty much everyone except Curse as I said, as they are an installer, they launch mojang's launcher.
  21. We cant really diagnose 'lag' you should try giving MC more ram, <1GB is bad. There is no error, it just seems your computer can't handle running the client and server. If you know how your only option is to attach a profiler and see where things are getting stuck.
  22. Guys, stop being argumentative twats. @Kill: Its strictly against Mojang's wishes to have you enter your auth info into ANYTHING that isn't Mojang so yes, launchers are bad and against the EULA. There is a reason why Curse is a downloader and they launch the official launcher. As for the checksums, you'd know what they are if you would do your research. The file you linked is whats called a template, those values get filled in later. You can check out INSTALLER for how they are used. Two are needed because the compression system we use is lossy.
  23. Interesting, you have a lot of mods in there that are messing around with things. It's finding the mismaps and loading the world and missing mappings. But something is handeling the missing mapping event and telling the game that it's all fine. Zip up your world and your mod-pack and post it somewhere for me to grab, i'll have cpw take a look at it when we get a chance.
  24. Just take it from 10+ years of experience, what you want to do is exactly what that comic is depicting. We already have the tools in place in Forge to 'convert' anything you need. And consuming other APIs because you feel like it and trying to make a standard library isn't going to work.
  25. Post your log. If there are blocks/items that are missing there should be a note. Also there has been a change to the registry to make it so that instead of deleting blocks it keep them in the registry and replaces them with a alias to air.
