Posted April 26, 201213 yr my whole reason for becoming a member was to find tutorials. please add thanks Support More Uses for Pumpkins!! The people on my Planet Love this Mod.

April 27, 201213 yr A wiki will be added soon (maybe tonight, I should have time), that would be a great place to put tutorials, else for now you can put them in the general discussion board. Please write them k thx! arent you one of the people who made the gorran thing? He is the head dev of Forge.
May 13, 201213 yr it would be great if we were to see some modding tutorials on here, but it could be requested a bit nicer. If you get fired from a tuna company, did you just get canned by tuna?
May 13, 201213 yr http://minecraftforge.net/wiki/Tutorials If there isnt a tutorial for what you want, write it, other people will appreciate it. I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. Consider supporting the team on Patreon
May 15, 201213 yr *bangs head against wall* *cries* prolly shouldn't've done that..... anyway... Please please please can someone write a tutorial that explicitly tells us how to add a new item WITH the forge ore dictionary thing? I'd write it myself if I only knew how to do it. Heck, I'd even upload it to the wiki, noone starting out seems to know how to do it (witness how many folks ask about it). I am a very much java-beginner. I learn quickly, but I need to have something to actually learn from. ...and by the time I finish helping this other person with HER code, I'm going to be proficient enough to write my own mod lol -Sevi
May 17, 201213 yr I'd like to see a tut on ore dictionary too. Its probably simple for the more experience modders but newer modders don't know how. Also more tuts in the tutorial section would be rather nice too. I think the last time i was in there i saw only 3 that explained image index and config file making. If non of the forum staff have the time too add them you could make a sub forum on here for users to make there own tuts. Might also want to add a code help sub forum since general Discussions turned into one basically. http://i577.photobucket.com/albums/ss215/bobstrong/ModBannerMed.png[/img]
June 9, 201213 yr The whole forge ore dictionary thing is deceptively simple. I think that i have it figured out, but haven't tested it. I'd write a tutorial, but I don't even know if it works. I'll test it a little and if it works, I'll take a shot at it.
June 9, 201213 yr OK, tested and it works! I wrote a tutorial on the tutorials wiki linked on forum homepage. It's under Beginner tutorials. For those of you who are lazy, click here: http://minecraftforge.net/wiki/How_to_use_the_ore_dictionary.
June 9, 201213 yr Do not teach people to use static constructors for initializing there items. Please change your tutorial to initialize the items in the load() function like a good mod should. I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. Consider supporting the team on Patreon
