Hi!
I need to get the item entity that are above a specific block (in my case a Custom Magma Block).

When they are above this block they need to be cooked.

My question is, how can i get the item entity above a Block Tile Entity?

you can use World#getEntitiesOfClass and use as class ItemEntiy, and create AxisAlignedBB with size 1
or
you check out the methods fallOn and stepOn in your block class,
fallOn is fired if an Entity fall on the Block (include ItemEntity),
and stepOn is fired every tick an entity stand on the block (also inclue ItemEntity).

Your first instinct when trying to do something should be to ask yourself "is there anything in vanilla minecraft that does this?"

And in this case, there is! Both the hopper and the pressure plate look for items "on top of" themselves and do something. The hopper is a better resource in this instance, as the top of the block is at the boundary (i.e. it acts like a full cube in the direction we care about).

You can then go look at the vanilla source and see how vanilla does it.
