Hello, lately ive been having the issue that my game crashes every time i have optifine in the folder. I am using minecraft forge 1.18.2. It runs perfectly fine and doesnt crash but as soon as i try to run the game with optifine in the mods folder it keeps telling me "invalid java runtime" i literally tried EVERYTHING. From installing java about 10 times, installing both 1.18.2 versions of optifine and trying each about 100 times, re-installing all sorts of 1.18.2 versions of forge, etc. Can someone please help me?

I did not set any custom settings for java.

I have forge 1.18.2 (40.1.0) BUT have also tried forge 1.18.2 (40.1.67) many many times.

Someone help me please, i am quite desperate.

There is no optifine version currently compatible with forge 41.0.58+

https://github.com/sp614x/optifine/issues/6974

Boilerplate:

If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one.

If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install

Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com  You should also read the support forum sticky post.

It was a typo, I should have written 40.1.58+ as in the link.

    • Seemingly fixed, I had to delete the advancements json file for every player in the server as this seemed to be the error. After deleting the files and reloading the server, we were able to join back in.
