Posted August 5, 20223 yr I have an item and I want to get the ServerLevel. I tried to cast UseOnContext.getLevel() to ServerLevel but that gave an error. I also tried UseOneContext.getPlayer().level but that couldn't cast. The reason I need a ServerLevel is because I am trying to use a lightning bolt. Any help is appreciated. August 5, 20223 yr Item.useOn() is first called on the client, if you return SUCCESS, then the same method will be called on the server. See for example MapItem.useOn() or one of other vanilla Items similar to your usecase. Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
August 6, 20223 yr Author How can I do this? Please don't put anything from 1.16.5, 1.12.2, 1.14, 1.15, 1.0, or anything not 1.18.x or 1.19.x!
August 6, 20223 yr Author Thank you for the help. I ended up using an if statement to see if it is being called on the server and strike lightning if so. Please don't put anything from 1.16.5, 1.12.2, 1.14, 1.15, 1.0, or anything not 1.18.x or 1.19.x!
