Posted September 4, 20223 yr Hi, I'm working on a mod where I have a quite complex data structure and would like to know how I could get the world save path or something for me to create a folder like I've seen some other mods have, where I would have a folder in the save called my mods name and within that folder i have sub folders with the .dat or .json files. I've tried with the SavedData and got something working that I hacked together but I dont think its a good idea to store such complexity and amounts of data in a single .dat or multiple .dat files just laying in the data folder. Besides due to the lack of documentation on the newer SavedData and me being quite new to minecraft modding, I've had a hard time understanding the workings of it.

September 4, 20223 yr Quote FMLPaths#GAMEDIR That's the .minecraft folder. 🙂 The original poster wants the world save folder (or a subfolder within it): Path mySubfolder = serverLevel.getServer().getWorldPath(LevelResource.ROOT).normalise().toAbsolutePath().resolve("mysubfolder"); Edited September 4, 20223 yr by warjort Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
