Posted September 12, 20223 yr Hello everyone, I wonder if it is possible to reference configuration values from an OptionsHolder inside JSON files. Let's assume, that I create a configuration OptionsHolder according to this topic: In some of the loot tables of my mod I use float values for drop chances of specific items: { "type": "minecraft:item", "name": "mymod:gold_ore_fragment", "conditions": [ { "condition": "minecraft:match_tool", "predicate": { "items": [ "mymod:iron_hammer" ] } }, { "condition": "minecraft:table_bonus", "enchantment": "minecraft:fortune", "chances": [ 0.10, 0.15, 0.20, 0.25 ] } ] } I wanted to make the drop chance values (here 0.10, 0.15, 0.20 and 0.25) adjustable using a configuration file. Is there any possibility to do this? Thank you!
September 12, 20223 yr A loot table is already a form of a config, you can replace/edit it by creating a data pack for your Mod which replace this file.
September 12, 20223 yr You are currently using BonusLevelItemCondition (minecraft:table_bonus) which gets the floats from the json. You can write and register your own LootItemCondition and make your implementation get its values from anywhere you like. But as was said above, If you just moving values from the datapack to the config file it's kind of pointless extra complications. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
