Posted August 30, 20232 yr is there a config option to disable the update checker for mods? it makes servers load up slower
August 30, 20232 yr https://forge.gemwire.uk/wiki/Version_Checker Quote The version checker can be configured through the versionCheck option in the FML config (config/fml.toml). This option controls the version checking for all mods, including Forge. Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
August 30, 20232 yr Version checking is also done off the main thread so it shouldn't effect startup times in any significant way. I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. Consider supporting the team on Patreon
