TyrisElensar
Hello I'm trying to play Minecraft at home in a lan network. Because not every computer is connected to the internet (kid's PC), some of them are launched with a .bat file to change the player names. Everything worked fine untill my son wanted to start playing with buildcraft. After a few hours of everything setting up, we started up Minecraft; I can join the server fine, with no problems (Using the launcher, connecting to mc.net and all.) However, my sons computer gives the error "This server requires you to have Minecraft Forge installed" when he uses the .bat to launch His modloader.txt file stays completly empty. When starting a single player world, no world at all is being loaded. What could the reason behind it be?
LexManos
Stack trace or it didn't happen. But 99% of the time, the cause for that issue is you installing ModLoaderMP over top of Forge. What is the order of mods you've installed? Quote I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. TyrisElensar
I've installed it by doing a copy/paste from the computer that's connected to the internet. I installed in the following order; Modloader 1.25 Forge (Removed META_INF) Buildcraft And if I'm understanding right; this would be the stack overflow; C:\Users\Kip\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft>java -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -cp "C:\Users\Ki p\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\*" -Djava.library.path="C:\Users\Kip\AppData\Ro aming\.minecraft\bin\natives" net.minecraft.client.Minecraft "Kip" 27 achievements 182 recipes LWJGL Version: 2.4.2 WARNING: Found unknown Windows version: Windows 7 Attempting to use default windows plug-in. LexManos
Interesting, I just double checked, every case of Packet1Login that's sent by the client has the forge identifier in it. Even for unauthorized clients, as long as you use Forge's adl class. Can you be sure to verify that ONLY ModLoader and Forge are in the jar. TyrisElensar
I've noticed something; To get the crashlog, I start Minecraft with; "java -Xincgc -Xmx2048M -cp Minecraft.exe net.minecraft.LauncherFrame" According to the "Beginners guide to posting a crash log" My .bat file starts with; java -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -cp "%APPDATA%\.minecraft\bin\*" -Djava.library.path="%APPDATA%\.minecraft\bin\natives" net.minecraft.client.Minecraft "Nehemiah" This starts minecraft in offline and changes the name from "Player" to "Nehemiah" (Which allows us to keep our inventory over 2 computers.) Only Modloader and Forge are in the jars, I forced an update every time it crashed and went through the steps again. The internet PC does this when starting minecraft; C:\Users\Kip\Desktop>java -Xincgc -Xmx2048M -cp Minecraft.exe net.minecraft.Laun cherFrame MCPatcherUtils initialized.
