You're modifying base classes without regard for anything else. Also you have no actual "mod" thing to load. I suggest you rewrite your mod to insert your behaviour through more normal mod means.

What base Class does it edit?

Feature/Class list:

Faster fire - afy.class

Obsidan Mining faster - aig.class

Crafting Wood no Sticks - tj.class and tk.class

Ocelots spawn in forest -vt class

If you need to make base edits, at least do them on forge versions of Minecraft code to ensure compatibility.

Read the EAQ before posting! OR ELSE!

This isn't building better software, its trying to grab a place in the commit list of a highly visible github project.

Also, do you know any good forge modding tutorials where I can make a item and add it to a vanilla recipe. I am planning to fix wooden sword bug with adding in 'Spikes' to craft sword (Stone spike, Iron Spike, Gold spike, Diamond spike)

1. You don't use MCP?

2. Nope, but as far as I know it's possible to override recipes (that's what Railcraft does)

3. Optionally, you could use AccessTransformer, that is if cpw/Lex allow?

I use MCP.

I am making a forge patch.

What is AccessTransformer?

turtle: start from a clean MCP workspace, with just client and server jars. Add in the latest forge source drop and decompile. Then, figure out what you want to actually do. You should, really, write this stuff as a mod- most likely it's quite possible to make your changes through a mod rather than editing base classes. I suggest reading a few tutorials on how to make a mod.

If you want to be modloader compatible, use a basemod. If not, use an @Mod (they're much easier in my opinion).

Seems to me like you edit 5, count them, 5 base classes to do things rather simple that could be done in way better means.

Make your mod without base edits and we'll care about it.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

I am planning to make a biome called OCELOT FOREST that spawns in the center of a forest biomes, and  at X 0  Z 0 to avoid vt.class conflicts. Of course, it spawns ocelots( and chickens! ) and sometimes a creeper!

Do not fucking tripple post -.-

Posting privilege revoked for 48 hours.

This mod edits base classes, we do NOT support mods that edit base classes, THEY must support US.

It is there choice to edit a base class when they do not need to, so it is on there head to be compatible with other things that edit base classes, esp, such widly used things as Forge.

We can no be expected to be compatible with EVERY other base mod out there, so we are compatible with the large ones, and the smaller ones that nobody gives a fuck about must be compatible with us.

Or, go bitch at them to stop[ editing base classes, I see no reason why they should.

Also, for note, none of your base edits should be base edits, they are all quite easily done without base edits, and by doing it properly your mod will be drop-in mods folder loadable then, no nasty file copying or anything.

If you want help, then ask, but do not edit base classes, as by editing them you are making yourself incompatible with any other base editing mod that touches anything remotely similar.

    • I downloaded Forgematice, moved the file to the mods folder, but after starting Minecraft it does not detect any modifications, I need help
    • Upon registering a new account on here, there's a simple security question. Something along the lines of "name a tool you can craft in vanilla Minecraft" and "name a weapon you can craft in vanilla Minecraft". I answered these with answers that are correct. Yet I'm told I "didn't pass the security check". This happens with every answer to every question. If you can't craft a pickaxe, or use a sword as a weapon in vanilla Minecraft then you and I must be playing a totally different game!!
    • Hello, and happy new year! I've returned to modding while on break from work, and cannot make heads or tails of the method for setting the correct tool for breaking a custom block. This should be a simple affair, but after digging through the vanilla files, all I could find was  assets/data/minecraft/tags/block/mineable/pickaxe.json (and axe, hoe, shovel). So I figured this must be how they're specifying the tool for each block. Yet, after implementing a similar file in my own data folder, it still doesn't work. Plus, this doesn't address the issue of specifying what level of tool is required (wood/stone/iron, etc).   So, please... how should this be being done, properly? And could it be done through the Java code rather than JSON files, without overriding functions for block breaking? I'm either missing something obvious, or -- as is more likely the case -- this is just far more convoluted than it ought to be, for something that should just be a field or two in the Block Properties.
    • and this forge error, is just for forge 1.19.2
