FTB Direwolf20 1.6.4

My server will not start. Out of the blue this happened. No edits were done that I can remember that would have broken the server.

Log: http://Pastebin.Com/MeC2uDQp

No Crash Report! Reports aren't being written.

I've tried reuploading the mods folder, deleting cauldron.yml, switching to Forge to start, reinstalling Forge, reinstalling Cauldron, made sure file permissions were correct, and have made sure FML essential files are present. I am stuck! I have Googled every possible cause of the error from the Forge log, Crash report, and Server log. I cannot find anything that works.

The error has to be caused by Forge, as I have ran the server with ONLY Forge and it crashes, but with Vanilla Minecraft it is fine. I normally use Cauldron to run the server, which is used to run FML and Bukkit at the same time. I am using Vanilla FML for the sake of fixing this problem.

I've been to all other possible forums, and none of them could help. This is my last hope. If you would like a link to the other forums I posted on, here:

If you need any additional information, just ask. I hope this gets fixed soon, my community is on the line. Its been down since the 21st.

I can't view your netherbyte links.

Multicraft does some weird things, so if you have SSH access, can you try starting the server directly?

Also check if your host isn't using java 8 update 20.

Read the EAQ before posting! OR ELSE!

This isn't building better software, its trying to grab a place in the commit list of a highly visible github project.

I will ask my host what version they are running.

As for SSH, I don't believe I have access, but I will ask my host that as well.

We do run Java 8 on our machines.

No, our shared hosting does not come with ssh access.

Different nodes use different versions, they are all running fairly recent updates however.

That is what my host replied.

Nope, sorry, let your host know forge/ftb servers are being derpy on java 8, request them to roll back java.

I got a little ahead of myself and already asked them. They can't rollback Java for my specific server, and I doubt that they will rollback all the servers just for me.

As you may already know, my server has been down for quite a while.

My request is that you run Java 7 on my server. I don't know if it is possible for you to run a specific version on just one server, but tell me if you can. I have a strong feeling this will fix all my problems.

Respectfully, [My Real Name].

Unfortunately that is not possible.

Well, then you sadly won't be able to run forge for a little while. You can try one of the "new" builds from the files site (listed under "Branches") but they are not fully tested with mods yet. You might not get them to work, but they have the fix for Java 8 in them.

Is there a way I can make a jar to execute through Multicraft that will specify the jar to run AND the version of Java to use?

I don't know Multicraft. But no matter what you do, you'd have to get the right Java version installed on the system, which only your Host can do.

Alright, well thank you for the straight answer. I will reply to you if I find something new.

My host is switching me to a VPS so that I can run a different Java than them. Hopefully that'll work. I believe it will.

Just a note to all server hosts out there, You CAN have multiple versions of java installed.. Stop being stupid.

Also, Don't have shared hosting like that people being able to fuck with other peoples servers is BAD!

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
