Currently I am having a weird bug with the current release of forge (6.0.1_349) with 1.4.2.

The problem I am having is that when I install it, with no extra mods or plugins, I can't get seeds from anything that is not fully grown.

I have tried a brand new jar file (not modded) and made a  map, I could break a ungrown piece of wheat and get the seed back (of course).

I then took the same jar file, deleted the meta-inf file and added Forge (didn't delete forge's meta-inf) and started the same game again, no mods or plug ins and the bug is reproduced.

I have no idea what might be causing it, I didn't see anything about it through a search or possible fixes for it.

Thanks again in advance, I might just not be installing it correctly for all I know.

Did you try to use 6.0.1.355?

This thread makes me sad because people just post copy-paste-ready code when it's obvious that the OP has little to no programming experience. This is not how learning works.

I didn't see anything past 349 in the 1.4.2, must be a development build? Let me find it and try it out.

That's nice and all for 1.4.4, but I'm using 1.4.2, and I wouldn't know how to fix it.

You're out of luck for 1.4.2 basically - Lex fixed it in the next version, which is a 1.4.4 version.
