[1.9.4] Items.apple >> Items.APPLE

So I noticed that in 1.9.4 what was Items.apple in 1.9 now needs to be changed to Items.APPLE in 1.9.4

My question is, do we really need to go file by file on our mod fixing all the Items or Blocks we used and changing the capitalization on the names, or is there another way of doing this?

PS: I'm using Eclipse

You can use search and replace.

Well, yes I thought of that, the problem is that I use almost all vanilla items/blocks somewhere in my code, so I would have to literally search and replace for all the items/blocks in game.

I'm up to 1200 errors found on my project. It was 1500 earlier, so I guess I will slowly go file by file fixing it.

Thanks :D

I used a regex find/replace to go through my entire mod and replace all the occurences. I'm not sure if it's possible in Eclipse, but it is in IDEA.

This is about what I used for blocks/items.

Find:

(Blocks|Items)\.(\p{L})

Replace:

$1.\U$2\E

You can also use Notepad++ for "Find and Replace in Files"

Working on Notepad++ but it's only replacing the first letter and making it Capital. Gonna check how the expression is built and see if I can figure out how to modify it, to Capitalize the whole word. Thanks a lot.

Whoops, there should be a + after the letter matcher in the find expression.

This is the new find expression:

(Blocks|Items)\.([\p{L}|_]+)

It now matches more than the first character and should capture the entire name if the name contains an underscore.

The replace expression should be fine.
