nedas60 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I am new to forge and I just cannot understand the ItemTool way. I tried ItemAxe but that apparently is hardcoded. All I need is the code for: public static ToolMaterial INFUSED = EnumHelper.addToolMaterial("INFUSED", 5, 3000, 15.0F, 12.0F, 30); All the rendering and names and stuff is already done. Thanks! Quote
Animefan8888 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Just create a class that is an exact copy of ItemAxe Quote VANILLA MINECRAFT CLASSES ARE THE BEST RESOURCES WHEN MODDING I will be posting 1.15.2 modding tutorials on this channel. nedas60 Posted August 4, 2016 Author Posted August 4, 2016 As I said I am kinda new to this and I want to ask how will this help me? Quote
Animefan8888 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 You will have a class that acts exactly like ItemAxe and you can extend/use that class for your Axe(s). Choonster Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 You don't have to create your own class, just use the ItemAxe(Item.ToolMaterial, float, float) constructor added by Forge. Animefan8888 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 In my forge version there is no public constructor, maybe I should update. My post was partially incorrect: The constructors are protected so you do need to create a class that extends ItemAxe , but you don't need to create a copy of ItemAxe .
