what exactly is the problem?

There are get Methods for both of them if you mean that

Have ypu already set the registered name? And I whould first set the Unlocalkized name and the set the registeredname with the same value as the unlocalizedname

catch(Exception e)

{

ย

}

Yay, Pokรฉmon exception handling, gotta catch 'em all (and then do nothing with 'em).

ย

Forge introduced the registry name system to stop people from using unlocalised names as registry names. Registry names are unique and must not change, unlocalised names aren't unique and can change at any time.

ย

If the registry and unlocalised names of an object are the same, set the registry name first and then set the unlocalised name from the registry name. You can change the unlocalised name at a later date if needed, but the registry name must remain the same.

Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.

I tried this:

public BaseItems() {
ย  ย  ย  ย  setUnlocalizedName(getRegistryName());
ย  ย  }

It did not work.

ย

Is your BaseItems class of type Item? I bet not.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.ย  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.ย  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

ย

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

ย

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

Yes.

FYI: "It didn't work" is the bestest way to communicate information. You should totally keep doing that.

ย

By which I mean

DON'T DO THAT EVER AGAIN. IT IS NOT IN ANYWAY HELPFUL.
