Changing Mojang Logo on launch

So I noticed that the splash.properties file inside the configs, has a route for the logo that points to: logoTexture=textures/gui/title/mojang.png

 

So I changed that in my texture pack, however when the pack launchs, the image is still the same.

 

Is it something different that I should be doing?

You can not change the logo.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
