Clue Man Posted August 14, 2017 Posted August 14, 2017 Now, I'm using MrCrayfish's tutorial's while still looking out in other places, such as here, but never can I find any help to my problem, I try everything, update Forge constantly but the textures are never shown... Can someone please help me? I'm kinda new to asking help about code, usually I just find the answer after about 10-50 minitues... So I don't really know how to make a Github post... So if you need it, please explain how to, too... Sorry and thanks in advance. Quote

MrBendelScrolls Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 (edited) MrCrayfish's tutorials are outdated. I suggest reading event docs and searching for similar threads on the forum. There are probably some good new tutorials, but I personally haven't seen one. You should post your code on github. However, just uploading it is a bad idea. Learn how to use git, it'll help managing projects a lot. Another way, you can upload separate files on gist, but I'd be a terrible idea for the whole project. Delupara Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 first learn java, it feels like you might not know it. If you did, next step is to get a source control program like Apache Subversion, which is open source, Team Foundation if you use windows or the most popular, multi platform, git. last but not least don't be a n00b XD! every decent enough api (application interface, if you don't know this you should go back to step 1) has an api documentation available. forge isnt different, its located to the left of the search bar of this website. Quote When they say your code doesn't follow convention but ur edgy so u dont care d-d-d-dab on them haterz

I doubt the veracity of this statement. You can prove me wrong by posting your code. Quote Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

Oh no, someone is trying to hurt my feelings by calling me a kid, so original. Alright, well No log no help. I couldn't care less if you think I'm 12 or 2 years old. Heck, call me fetus man but you must know that you still don't know how to post error logs and use Github. And then he claims hes a better coder than me LMAO.
