[1.10.2] Detecting a Key Press server-side?

Hey, so I have this class that allows the player to Double Jump, however, I want it to spawn particles. So I created a packet to send particles to all clients but that doesn't work

I'm not too sure what I'm doing wrong here. Please help.

You can't just do this. This code will crash a dedicated server and even in single player it's reaching across logical sides. You must have the client tell the server "my user pressed this key" and the server needs to be the one to figure out what happens.

I thought I needed to send the server packets for the particles, etc. but turns out I need to make sure the server knows the player jumped

So I should send a packet to the server saying the player jumped and then execute the events in the Armor Tick Event?

No, you execute the code that is currently on the armor in the packet handler (but you need to check that the player is wearing the armor first).
