Posted November 19, 20186 yr Hi there. Again, I need some help or hints regarding custom slabs... I have some custom slabs with different variants for the material. So far, everything is working just fine - as long as I am testing this mod on a singleplayer world. On a multiplayer server, all my upper/top singleslabs have the defined default variant (according to the F3 mouseover information) Before posting a chunk of code... does this sound familiar? I mean, different textures or render problems in general, ok, fine. But variants depending on sp/mp? Thanks in advance

Sounds like a desync issue you'll have to tell the client from the server what the variant is. VANILLA MINECRAFT CLASSES ARE THE BEST RESOURCES WHEN MODDING I will be posting 1.15.2 modding tutorials on this channel. If you want to be notified of it do the normal YouTube stuff like subscribing, ect. Forge and vanilla BlockState generator.
January 19, 20196 yr Author Sorry I didn't respond, had some stressful months I'm not sure, if the server really knows the correct variant: Right after placing an upper slab, it quickly changes to the corresponding default variant. Breaking this slab drops the correct slab variant (not the default one). If I break the slab after restarting the server, it drops the default variant... Where could this desync happen?
