Hello,

 

I am having some trouble converting this tutorial for 1.13 into 1.14.4

I have included my code for the class with the errors (which lie on Enum Facing and harvestBlock)

any help is appreciated.

I don't see a crash report if the error is coming from Eclipse or IntelliJ that is you not knowing Java. And typically it tells you straight up what the problem is.

I will be posting 1.15.2 modding tutorials on this channel. If you want to be notified of it do the normal YouTube stuff like subscribing, ect.

yeah, I don't know Java very well. hence why I am trying to learn here.

This is not a Java support forum we deal with Forge problems exclusively here.

This is a basic Java issue, not a Forge issue.

 

You should be using an IDE (Eclipse or IntelliJ, Notepad++ is not an IDE).

 

But I'll give you a hint.

Where does the BlockColumb() function end?

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

I don't know, I gave up and deleted it all cuz buddy was being a f%$k face.

are there any good tutorials that would match up with 1.14.4

I went back to the tutorial, and managed to get past that error to the end of the tutorial, except one thing. 

 

this columb.hoverStart line. I get the error: "The final field ItemEntity.hoverStart cannot be assigned"

      My Mohist server crashed as well but all it says in logs is " C:\Minecraft Mohist server>java -Xm6G -jar mohist.jar nogul  Error: Unable to access jarfile mohist.jar   C:\Minecraft Mohist server>PAUSE press any key to continue  .  .  . " Any ideas? i have the server file that its looking for where its looking for it.
