Its not a crash, but I'm getting this in console:

TextureManager.createTexture called for file textures/items/swordRapier.png

When I should be getting:

TextureManager.createTexture called for file mods/medieval/textures/items/swordRapier.png

The first thing that instantly springs to mind and that you should have thought of and tried was to move things out of the /mods folder inside your zip/dev environment.

(My guess is that Mojang changed the texture loading code without telling anyone)

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

Double check your method names with the items class method name for icon registering.

Edit: if its still updateIcons change it to registerIcons

So should it be:

public void registerIcons(IconRegister iconRegister)
{
    this.itemIcon = iconRegister.registerIcon("medieval:swordLongsword");
}}

Thanks Gaara, this worked!
