Hi, I'm having some problems getting blockstates to work in 1.15.2(forge 31.1.0).

When the game loads I get this error:

[23:22:12] [Server-Worker-4/WARN] [minecraft/ModelBakery]: Exception loading blockstate definition: 'cdm:blockstates/compressed_diamond_block.json' missing model for variant: 'cdm:compressed_diamond_block#'
[23:22:12] [Server-Worker-4/WARN] [minecraft/ModelBakery]: Exception loading blockstate definition: 'cdm:blockstates/compressed_diamond_block.json' in resourcepack: 'Mod Resources': com.google.gson.stream.MalformedJsonException: Use JsonReader.setLenient(true) to accept malformed JSON at line 1 column 1 path $

Can someone help me?

Your json file is invalid.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

Show your blockstates/compressed_diamond_block.json

Your parent (in your model file) needs to specify the domain, eg.

minecraft:block/cube_all

eg:

https://github.com/Draco18s/ReasonableRealism/blob/1.14.4/src/main/resources/assets/harderores/models/block/millstone.json#L2

Did you change block/cube_all to minecraft:block/cube_all ? Post your new model file

please make a github repo so we can see your "real" code.

I will make fun of you if you are not able to look into the (vanilla-) code.

Try removing the 'minecraft:' from the 'minecraft:block/cube_all'

That's not the problem.

Unfortunately I need a working git repo to poke at things in enough detail.

Screw what I said before about renaming the 'blocks' to 'block'. I misread your folder names.

I can't seem to find where the error is, but when I delete your blockstate and model file and recreate them it worked.

It seems to me  this is the error. The problem could be your editor. Wich one did you use first?
