Crash at trying to click the texture pack button

i think because of forge including the hd fix optifine doesn't like it because i get this error message when i try to click the texture pack button

Let me guess using a 256x256 texture pack?

You're installing Optifine into the .jar and not the Mods directory, right? If not, that could be why. Optifine used to work in the mods folder, but now it needs to be in the .jar directly. At least, it does for me.

I thought optifine always had to be in the jar, since it, you know, replaces the MC renderer...
