Forge wont install

when i try to install forge 1.8.9 it doesn't go onto minecraft how do i fix this?
it does do the pop up but doesn't install

If you kept reading the posts after the original poster, you would see that really old versions are no longer supported.

Please update to a modern version if you wish to receive support.
