September 21, 20205 yr Your code prints both "Hey" and "Hey 2" because after you print "Hey", count is increased and also the second statement is true. For what you want to do you can try with something like this: private String[] array = {"Hey", "Hey 2"}; private int count = 0; @Override public ActionResult<ItemStack> onItemRightClick(World worldIn, PlayerEntity playerIn, Hand handIn) { if (!worldIn.isRemote()) { playerIn.sendMessage(new StringTextComponent(array[count])); count++; return new ActionResult<>(ActionResultType.SUCCESS, playerIn.getHeldItem(handIn)); } return new ActionResult<>(ActionResultType.SUCCESS, playerIn.getHeldItem(handIn)); } If you want to make it loop between the Strings you can use an if statement to reset count.
September 21, 20205 yr Author Thanks. And how can you remove a specific item after like the 6 sentence? And give a fishing rod?

Or use .shrink(1), if the stack can be stacked, or .tryToDamage(1,player) if it has durability. Depending on use-case. September 23, 20205 yr Well, you could take a look at the code for vanilla items that have limited durability and see how they handle usage and removal of the item, there are many examples...filnt and steel, shears, tools etc... September 23, 20205 yr Should probably be a new topic, as it's a different issue. I believe it is the same as the undyed version. The dye is saved in the NBT.
