How would I go about making beds explode in the overworld. I want to make it so the player can't skip night or set a spawn point.

You could probably find the associated code within the player that causes that to occur. You would then need to apply it in PlayerSleepInBedEvent whenever the player's dimension is the overworld.

Sorry, I'm new to this. Where could I find the code associated with bed explosions? I'm guessing in some player or bed class, but where could I find those?

Alright so I found the onBlockActivated() in BedBlock. I see that the line to cause the explosion is inside an if statement that calls a boolean function but its obfuscated so I don't know exactly what is going on.

I'm assuming that this will return true or false based on if the player is allowed to sleep or not in the current world. So maybe I could override this to always return false, but I'm not sure how I can do that. I can't just change the minecraft source code because that will only effect my game and not every one else's. So where in the mod code can I override this?

As ChampionAsh previously pointed out, you would preferably listen to the PlayerSleepInBedEvent event, and apply the explosion there.

You could always go look at what those functions do. Pretty sure the first one is something like getDimensionType() and the second would be something like bedsExplode()

(If they were to have human readable names).
