    Yes, because when it errors it stops loading your mod for being improperly formatted. This is not a "stop the presses and burn down the building" error, its a "throw the drunk out" error.

    I think the problem is here: https://github.com/Yamahari/ILikeWood/blob/master/src/main/java/yamahari/ilikewood/items/WoodenScaffoldingItem.java#L57-L59 That call invokes: https://github.com/Yamahari/ILikeWood/blob/master/src/main/java/yamahari/ilikewood/blocks/WoodenScaffoldingBlock.java#L84-L86 Different wood types have different items.

    You cannot use OpenGL > 2.1 on OS X without breaking anything that relies on older OpenGL features (such as a huge amount of Minecraft). Mods should not be requiring higher versions: having the feature optional or providing a fallback implementation is the "right" way to do it.

    mine keeps crashing as well and it wont let me click on the crash report and crash report is not there in crash-reports part of my app data for minecraft
