That IS the direct link, anyone who gives you a different link is redistributing Mojang's Intellectual Property almost certainly without permission. If you can't connect to that server then something is wrong with the connection between you and them.

How did you install the server?

1.7.10 is no longer supported on this forum due to its age. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.

Curse/Twitch CDN issue, follow the instructions in my signature for getting a log out of Twitch, it works by bypassing Twitch entirely.

You shouldn't even be following those instructions, just run the Minecraft launcher for god's sake

Please provide your installer log, it will have the same name as the installer but with .log on the end: Installer: forge-{version}-installer.jar Log: forge-{version}-installer.jar.log Note: If you have Windows Explorer set to hide file extensions(as is the default setting), they will look like this: Installer: forge-{version}-installer Log: forge-{version}-installer.jar

You do not need to uninstall one version of Forge to install another. Forge installs itself as a version of Minecraft, just make a new “Installation” in the launcher and select Forge from the Minecraft aversions dropdown.

What kind of hardware are you running the server on?

On "using Forge Directly" the instructions in my signature on how to get a log from the twitch launcher work by running Forge manually, so try following those steps.

Why do you have an exclamation point in your username? Fairly certain that's the issue here.

Try running the Minecraft Launcher and then re-run the Forge installer.

Sounds like you're running 1.14 and trying to run 1.12 mods, this is not going to work

What are you on about, Mac downloads? Just set your launcher to use 1.12.2 Forge.

You can wait for the Optifine devs to make a version of Optifine that is compatible with Forge.
