post a screenshot where the full path of the folder visible is or a screenshot where we can make sure it is the correct folder

Look at your image. You are showing

/Applications/Minecraft/Contents/mods

Your mods folder is

Quote

/Users/bradydyson/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods/

Take a screenshot of the contents of second one.

Although we can guess, you have been downloading your mods into the first folder when you should be putting them in the second one.

Boilerplate:

If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one.

If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install

Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com  You should also read the support forum sticky post.

Suck it and see...

I quit, I've been dealing with this shit for the past 7 days and gotten nowhere, I've watched videos, and read articles. And tried to find some help on this website, this is my first time using Minecraft on a computer, and im not familiar with it, and the attitudes and ways people respond to my concerns and questions have me, I never meant to sound rude, and I don't know if ^^ warjort was, but if so, calm yourself you don't have to be so fucking rude to somebody who has no idea how to work this website.

I quit, im thankful for the help I received even though I got nowhere.

I am calm. "suck it and see" is an English colloquialism. It means "try it, you might be pleasantly surprised".
