forge isnt working

Ok so I downloaded forge and installed it properly but now when I try to start minecraft with the forge profile it loads but wont actually start. the startup screen just disappears and I have to reopen minecraft. please tell me what's wrong

haha! well the thing is... NOOB ALERT I don't know what log files are.

How to get log files? Look in the EAQ (the big red sticky + subforum at the top of this forum!)
