I didn't have an opportunity to use the Guava library and generally I'm a Java newbie, but i've seen that there's a new version (13) and Forge still uses version 12.

Nah, why should we? Bukkit uses guava 10 for example, updating may break any mods using it.

Read the EAQ before posting! OR ELSE!

 

This isn't building better software, its trying to grab a place in the commit list of a highly visible github project.

It will break tons of mods. MINOR updates are generally for bug fixes, MAJOR updates == major breakage. Especially for forge and FML.

Protip: try and find answers yourself before asking on the forum.

It's pretty likely that there is an answer.

      Struggling to decipher a crash report I'm getting in a custom modpack I'm tinkering with. The crash happens on startup, but weirdly, only some of the time.
