Interacting with mob

Hey guys, so i am trying to get a messege from interacting with a mob but i dont know what i am doing

i did some research and found 2 methods that i dont understand how to use

 can anyone put me in the right direction

Are you registering your EventHandler class via MinecraftForge.EVENT_BUS.register(...)?

Yea that was the issue (tested with jump it works) but now i cant seem get the same messege with interacting with my custom mob.

You know processInteract is an entity method you override, not an event, right?

And that it has three paramters, right?

1.11.2 has 2 parameters EntityPlayer and EnumHand.

Should i use that instead?

just realized its client and server thread, i am assuming no way just to make client because the game runs on server

You should be getting four, two for each thread, one from each hand. You can use World#isRemote to determine if it is on the client.

the second hand would be with super.ProcessInteract correct? i just returned true instead.

No the EnumHand parameter passed is which players Hand is interacting with the Entity.

...why then in entitySheep it returns super.ProcessInteract , with that i got 4 results

The method is called twice for each hand on each thread. 2x2=4

so super. is the other hand. because with out it it only happens once
