In my experience, WinRar does an amazing job of not handling JAR archives correctly, at all. My friend couldn't install mod after mod. When he switched to 7-Zip, no more problems.

Maybe try using 7-Zip instead? (www.7-zip.org)

In my experience, WinRAR does an amazing job of handling JAR archives correctly. 7-Zip, however, has never worked for me.

FML's log provides more info but it seems that something inside your mods folder or coremods folder is point at what im gunna assume is a corrupt file.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

NEVER install ModLoader with Minecraft Forge. Bad things will happen.

There's an EAQ for a reason. Read it!
