Posted April 2, 20214 yr Hi guys I would like to place a metal rod inside a Stone Slab. The Stone Slab has a hole in the middle so that the rod fits in, how do I do this with the possibilities of Forge? Kind regards Kevin Krüger
April 2, 20214 yr could you elaborate? is the stone slab the vanilla slab, or a block of your own? what do you mean by "inside"? is the rod a block?
April 3, 20214 yr Author Good Morning kiou.23 The slab is our own slab, also it is an block. The Rod is also an Block. And what I mean with "inside" is, our own slab has in the middle of the block an square hole.
April 3, 20214 yr you can't have two blocks occupy the same space. however, you could it a property in the slab's blockstate, and use of the blockstate json file to point to different models. then handle the logic on the onBlockActivated, to switch the blockstates
April 3, 20214 yr Look at the SlabBlock to see how it handles becoming a double slab. Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.
