  1. Forge 1.12.2 and earlier don't work with Java 9 or later, use Java 8
  2. Delete the .minecraft/versions/1.12.2 folder and try again
  3. Please read the Logs section of my signature below and provide the appropriate log in the appropriate manner.

  7. 1.8.9 is no longer supported on this forum due to its age. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
  8. Anyone who wants to get 1.13.X "working" is best suited by not trying to use a version that was designated from the start to be a transition version.
  9. Sounds like you downloaded from a scam site, delete that installer and run a virus scan, then download Forge from https://files.minecraftforge.net

  12. debug.log is a file in the logs folder, it has everything that gets printed to console and more. You should be joining the server with the IP localhost, for your friend you need to forward ports on your router, which is not something you should do unless you understand what you're doing, barring that you could try Hamachi or something similar
  13. At this point use one of the paste sites in my signature and provide debug.log
  14. Please read the Logs section of my signature below and provide the appropriate log in the appropriate manner.
  15. No you need to run the jar in your server, not the one you copied to your downloads folder
  16. Ok let's break this down. Get the command prompt to look in your server, two ways you can do this: Open your server in file explorer, make sure you have nothing selected, right click, select "Open Command/Powershell Window Here" Open a command prompt and utilize the cd (Change Directory) command to move around your filesystem Run the command java -jar <file name including extension>

  18. Sorry, had my wires crossed and somehow combined your thread with another in my head. On closer inspection I see errors coming out of MoreCommands
  19. What do you mean when you say "extracted", did you run the installer?
  20. You started a Vanilla server, not a Forge server. You have to run the Forge jar to start a Forge server.
