Will Fluids API Overhaul be on 1.18.x or just 1.19.x?
Velken Iakov replied to Velken Iakov's topic in General Discussion
I mean, you can, it would be a different forge mod loader version. I am asking mostly because I refuse to change to 1.19.x due to Microsoft's policies and decisions about the game (the in-game chat report system) -
On Steam there currently is a really popular Demo for a game called 'Stalcraft' But looking at the files it is literally a modified minecraft client, running a bunch of mods (you can find stuff like 'codechicken', 'cpw', 'optfine', 'carpenterblock' and others Is this game even legal?

One of my algorithms teatcher saw this, and he said: "I will give 1 point in the test to whom explains this to me."
-
Sorry, didn't phrase my correctly. I would still give help, but from his statements it would seem that he wouldn't provide a repo or much of his code in fear that someone would "steal" his idea.

One?! I don't think you can do much on minecraft modding without knowing java. I would rather say that: you either pick all or none.
-
You are only fooling yourself that you know modding. All you are doing id copy/paste of his code, but with your stuff. True, you will "learn" modding for minecraft, but your mods will be simple, without any new features or things like that.

As diesieben07 said: So, the community gave you the sources, if you wanna learn minecraft modding, you have to learn Java. And Shadowfacts is the second largest 1.9.4 tutorial (that has quality) that I've found on google (only losing to a youtuber that his tutorials are all in german)

Are you even reading what we post here or following the links? You_Don't_Open_.class! Read the Java Tutorial!

Since MrCrayfish's tool does not run on my computer, I make my models on techne and than use this tool to convert it to the .json format (and, so far, has been proving really good).
-
Learn jave Test IDEs to see which one suits you better (I use intelliJ) Then you give a try to modding. And you don't open .class, you open .java It is on the first section of the Java learning that I've gave the link. Don't be lazy to learn, or you might end up with a crappy shit code.

Breaking tile entities provocates Minecraft to freeze
Velken Iakov replied to Hypsellis's topic in Support & Bug Reports
Have you tried to make a clean instance? I've tried here and my game was normal (with 2Gb of ram). Maybe something got corrupted in your instance. -
[1.8.9] Forge Launcher Not Opening Minecraft
Velken Iakov replied to Voidric's topic in Support & Bug Reports
It has failed to download. Try downloading manually (to see if the hostname is accessible) if not, try from a different network. -
So, you have time to come and type here instead of google. I lack the capacity to understand your choice. PS: Look on gamepedia, there is explaned what does what on the JSON

Wanting to Get Into Modding Which Version Should I Use?
Velken Iakov replied to Zeliox's topic in General Discussion
Go for 1.9.4, there are already few good tutorials (the best one that I know is in german, if you can understand it: HyCraftHD's channel ). There are these two that I've been following to understand 1.9.4 (since last time I've modded was 1.6.4): Shadofacts' tutorial and Tempora-reality/McJty's tutorial -
If you wanna give a try, learn Java: http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/ then use this tutorial from Shadowfacts (it is really good): https://shadowfacts.net/tutorials/ It was the path I've taken.

Why all the security questions in the forums?
Velken Iakov replied to llanita's topic in General Discussion
Wellcome to the Minecraft Community (more specific, the Forge one), I hope you enjoy here. Lex (Lexmanos) is one of the creators of Forge (another famous one is CPW), they are both really cool and do awesome stuff! The read before posting is needed, the amount of crash reports that could've solved if they read the EAQ is big, and the amount of people who don't post the logs are even bigger. In simple terms: just to make life a bit easier to those who help solve problems. -
the redirect "NEW LOCATION HERE" on the Mods board leads to a 404

As they say: fix a bug, now you have 99 more :v The only thing that I found (which may be on my side only, cause I have shit pc and internet), is that when you click the + to expand at Forum History (at the Statistics Center), the Loading that pops up on the top, sometimes, flicks a lot, and may cause problems to people who suffer from epilepsy.
