I must have tried to fix this about 30 times with fresh installs. I will tell from the beginning. i have checked very good that the modloader i use and forge is the right version for 1.2.5. after i have innstalled modloader and deleted the META-inf i start up minecraft and it works, BUT after that i have kopied inn the forge files with winrar i start up and it goes to log in and when i have done that it just stops at updating and hangs there forever.

PLEASE HELP ME!

NO MODLOADER!

You dont need it, and modLoader mods can -usually- run with forge.

So, what would happen if I did push that shiny red button over there? ... Really? ... Can I try it? ... Damn.

I fresh innstalled minecraft 1.2.5 and deleted the meta-inf and kopied the forge files inn, KEEEPS happening.

Run Minecraft with this batch file and paste the results here in a spoiler. To copy what's on the black screen, right-click it, and choose "select all", the hold your control key and press the letter C. That'll copy it to your clipboard for pasting elsewhere.

Not sure if just joking or serious. He can do that. Quite easily.

In fact, people are warned of this in the board you're redirecting him to. It's the thread called "Read this or you may get banned." Call me a suck-up, but I wouldn't suggest mocking him if you don't want to get banned. Show a little more respect for the guy who helped in the creation/maintaining of Forge, and has probably answered most questions people have about forge, its process of installation, and errors in general a hundred times each.

Keep in mind that even if what he says is not always said in the nicest way possible, he does still take the time out of his day to attempt to answer people's questions. People generally get nicer responses if you show that you've taken a little more time to figure out the error than it takes to sign up to the forum.

The owner of the forum and its staff have the right to remove or alter objectionable content. This includes one's ban status, I'm certain.

I understand. If I don't have the right to joke around, probably I don't deserve to.

But, shouldn't there be a rule allowing us to report these people?

Well, for certain types of questions asked, I think it'd be reasonable to. For this one in particular though, I think it reasonable that they assumed they still needed ModLoader. Annoyingly, most mods requiring forge out there haven't bothered to update their installation instructions to reflect that installing ModLoader is no longer necessary.

I've added a note to the Wiki's Client Installation Instructions saying that ModLoader is no longer necessary. Hopefully it'll at least help a few people. :P

A) You're not supposed to use Forge with 1.3.1.

B) Bad install. Something happened to the net folder. Try using MultiMC.

you installed WRCE without ChickenBonesCore, so it does not work

either remove WRCE, or install CBC, and your game will work just fine

from what i can tell, it for some reason fails to detect if RP2 and BC are installed

it might be you installed them in the wrong order into the jar or did not assign the correct names in the mods folder

unfortunately without more info from those 2 locations, this issue cannot be fixed

as it is not a forge issue, this is not the correct location to have it solved

please find the correct area (the tubestuff topic on MCF) to get this issue fixed

    • Hello everyone, As the title suggests I'm new the the entire modding thing I used to make little game projects here and there and since I've started University I've taking Java and I fell in love with it somehow. So I have a couple of questions: Can I learn Java from modding the game (Yes I have the basics) can it expand my knowledge in this language? Does modding require massive teams (I've seen too many projects on curseforge that have like 3-6 contributors) or can I do it solo? Where to start? I know you might be thinking "Whats wrong with this guy just simply google what to do..." and for that I say "I did" and found too many results not saying its a bad thing just you know we have a common term in development in general and that's "Development hell" you guys are more experienced than I'm what tutorial series do you recommend? Why didn't I use Reddit for this question why the minecraftforge forums where we fix issues to modding not help beginners start?  Because it gave me mental issues not saying this for attention but I really dislike the communities there are helpful somewhat but everything I said there regardless of what it is even a simple question in development will be bombarded with hateful comments cruelty and bullying and even worse grammar police , I truly hope that you guys aren't like this...   Please forgive me for my English as I'm not an English speaker. I'm alright with you people criticizing me for the question or the stuff I said just don't be cruel , thanks in advance!
    • Hi! As the title suggests, I am encountering an issue with the Prominence II mod pack in which my server keeps crashing at random intervals. I am hosting it through Aternos, and below is a copy of my crash log. I have tried googling solutions and all forums are years old. I am new to hosting a server and don't know my way around files. I have also contacted Aternos support and they said it was a problem with the trinket mod? However I don't know if removing it will solve or corrupt my world. Any help would be greatly appreciated!   https://mclo.gs/RWmkEtK
    • I've been trying to render a line on the screen for a few days now, and everywhere I've looked has outdated answers. They say to use RenderGameOverlayEvent, which has been removed by my understanding. Is there a specific event I should be using or anything else I'm doing wrong? Tesselator tesselator = Tesselator.getInstance(); BufferBuilder renderer = tesselator.getBuilder(); renderer.begin(VertexFormat.Mode.DEBUG_LINES, DefaultVertexFormat.POSITION_COLOR); Color c = new Color(255, 0, 0, 255); renderer.vertex(0, 100, 0).color(c.getRed(), c.getGreen(), c.getBlue(), c.getAlpha()).endVertex(); renderer.vertex(0, 200, 0).color(c.getRed(), c.getGreen(), c.getBlue(), c.getAlpha()).endVertex(); tesselator.end(); Based on what I've seen, this is the code that should be working, though I feel that I need to override an event and add it in. What event should I be using for this? Is there another way of doing it that I don't know of?
