So someone needs to bug Overmind to update it.

I did.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

I did.

Let me rephrase.

Someone in a position of power needs to bug Overmind to update it. Or perhaps we could start a petition?

It says on there that he wants it redone for 1.3.2, and so probably for 1.5 also? Maybe it would be easier to have it on a wiki link, so people can just add their block/item IDs themselves. I'm sure having this, ore dict names and liquid dict names all on one page would be useful :)

I need someone to tell me what mod ids are available so i can make my mod compatible to most other tech mods!  Message me at [email protected]

Just guess!

If it breaks when you add a mod, change the ID, but most tech mods like BC, RP, and IC2 have been around for a while, so most ID's above 255 should be compatible with them.

You can also install NEI on your client, and check the ID's for the blocks and items by enabling the "Show IDs" option.

So, what would happen if I did push that shiny red button over there? ... Really? ... Can I try it? ... Damn.

^^ What he said. Just install all the mods you want compatibility with, check their ID's and find a large free gap.

If you want to be compatible with all tech mods though that might be a challenge. I know quite a few are in the works atm.

Just gonna throw it out there, mine is using 900-1200 ;)

We're using 1216 to (tentatively) 1280 for blocks and 19456 to 19712 for items.

Remember that it's bad practice to use item IDs under 4096, and that the maximum for items is 32000.

Uhh, Isn't there something called a configuration file?

Well, yes. But those are the default values. So far as I know (and my knowledge is actually outdated as I am used to 1.4.6) Forge hasn't implemented the reassignation system yet.

I don't know about reassignment, but if you make it so your id's take open spaces while retaining the defaults you should be good with just deleting the old config.

I took over Hunting Traps Mod and work on helping the forge community as much as I can. View my work here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/wip-mods/1443756-1-7-2-1-6-4-1-5-2-1-4-7-hunting-traps-mod-v-0-4-0
