Minecraft 1.16.3 Forge crash Error Code 1
DaemonUmbra replied to Romme444's topic in Support & Bug Reports
Do you mean you have OptiForge and Optifine for 1.15.2 in your mods folder? If so, you should know that Forge does not filter mods based on version, this is left for the user to do by setting the "Game Directory" in each of the launcher's "Installations" (really more like profiles or instances). -
Try using Gradle's offline switch, ForgeGradle just queries to make sure things are correct and up to date

Could not resolve all files for configuration ':conpileClasspath'
DaemonUmbra replied to Ron_Parker's topic in Modder Support
This is why we ask for files and don't like taking "It's the default" or "It's the latest version" for an answer -

Sounds like you're using intellij and it thinks your mod is an android project for some reason -
Do you see something that says debug?

Crashing is better than getting stuck in a loop, at least a crash results in a log to give us info on what went wrong. Please provide debug.log

Ok then, please provide debug.log, more info on where it is and how we prefer to have it provided are in my signature, just expand the spoiler

Be warned, Optifine is known to be a bit of a bully and doesn't always work with Forge. First, make sure you're using a version of Optifine that is compatible with Forge (check Optifine's changelog), and try using the version of Forge that the changelog says it is compatible with.

That would do it... the latest.log you provided didn't say you were using Twitch though. Please look at the video in the Logs -> Twitch Launcher section of my signature for instructions on how to run a Twitch modpack without running Twitch to launch it, this has been known to solve some issues seemingly out of the blue.

debug.log, in the same folder where you found latest.log

If you don't learn how it works how do you expect to make a mod that's yours and not a complete ripoff of someone else's?

Learn Java before you mod. Modding Minecraft is a HORRIBLE way to learn Java and tutorials like this won't teach you anything if you're just mimicking what they do. Official documentation: https://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/ Absolute basics with an interactive editor: https://www.codecademy.com/learn/learn-java Ongoing online course with assignments: https://java-programming.mooc.fi/

It's not, and this comes from right next to what I asked for

Do you know Java?
