  1. All lists in this post will be formatted as such: (in spoilers) Mod Author, Name With Link to Original Author's thread, (Resolution(s)), [screenshot(s)], {Download} [hide](rudimentary)[/hide]Mod Support by Me: Not currently taking requests. Texture Packs I personally enjoy: Disclaimer I use SugarSync for my personal uploads. There are no ads, nor any fake download buttons. It is a site I'd highly recommend for non-profit download links or for creating online backups of your files. You get a free 5GB storage. If you would like to sign up, please use this referral link. Tell them Zero sent ya'! If you both downloaded and enjoyed any of these textures, give me more incentive to continue by clicking the "thank you" button in the top right corner! And lastly, please let me know if any links are broken, out of date, or incorrect. Thank you. [hide]I was going to say "First"... [/hide]
  2. Thanks! Was actually already in the process of typing out a post. Edit: Not gonna lie. The karma board makes me feel good about myself.
  3. Sounds great. I'd very much like those. It'd give me a place to maintain a thread for my textures and stuff. And I just realized that I can also utilize my signature to link to said threads I maintain for my stuff. Is there a limit like MCF to how many links or lines I can have in my signature? I'm not going to make it obnoxious, just want to know whether or not the signature will take a lot of planning or not.
  4. If it's not a performance issue, you could just resize all the textures to LOOK like 2x2.
  5. nope the basics of minecraft will still be there, it will be essentially like minez but a whole lot bigger, and yes I do , just wondering has the release date of 1.3 been announced? Yes, it's scheduled for August 1st. Also, this thread has gone way off topic in the last few minutes...
  6. I meant the code you were changing from, and what you were changing it to in your main post... They were identical at first. Also, if nobody replies before your next post, it's best to modify your previous post instead of double posting. It tends to annoy people around just about any forums site, and may end up earning you a slap on the wrist. Just letting you know for future reference.
  7. Read my previous post. It has red text in it for a reason. There have been tons of threads before having problems because of MCPatcher... Also, yes. ModLoader functionality is built into Forge itself as of version 3.3.7, so you shouldn't install it.
  8. Firstly, there are no changes between your From and To codes. - You fixed that. Secondly, what are you doing that makes you want to change the button anyways?
  9. You most likely didn't delete the META-INF folder within the minecraft.jar when you should have.
  10. Don't use MCPatcher to install Forge, or any mods after Forge. If you can't do it manually, try using MultiMC, as I hear that works fine. And if you're wanting full HD texture support, install Optifine. MCPatcher and Forge don't get along. It does things it shouldn't do even if you tell it not to.
  11. General Minecraft with some Child Boards. Basically a place to talk about Minecraft in general. I know this isn't minecraftforums, but I thought it'd be nice anyways. However, I can completely understand if this is too much, or you'd rather not. General Minecraft Let's Plays and other Videos! Texture Packs In-game Creations It's not much, but it's all I can think of. And by "not much" I mean I have no idea what adding those kinds of things look like behind the scenes, or the level of difficulty to maintain.
  12. Hmm. Some screenshots would be nice. Or a video even. Helps to entice the crowd, you know. Entice me!
  13. Firstly, don't use MCPatcher with Forge. Ever. Install it manually or try other patchers. I hear MultiMC is fine. Secondly, use spoiler tags when you're sending info like that. [spoiler]Put the information here.[/spoiler] And lastly, this belongs, if anywhere at all, on the Support & Bug Reports Topic.
  14. I've just finished the chests and their GUIs. Here's a picture: All I need to do now is add the Chest Update textures... (the items) Then I'll put a download link up.
  15. And if you're meaning in code itself, you can always comment it out. You can use /* to define the beginning of the code you'd like to disable, and you can use */ to define the end of the code you'd like to disable. Examples: This is of course assuming that the code you're disabling isn't being relied on by another part of your code... Wtf is wrong with me? Why did I not read the thread title the first time around? Please ignore me.
  16. Lego... I'd just drop it. Consider the following: [*]This is Lex's place. His domain. Nobody fears to speak their mind in their own domain. [*]He's the creator of Forge. Forge's purpose is to help make an environment where mods don't butt heads. (even if the modders still do) What the guy was doing was only going to cause compatibility issues with people installing other mods as well. Those compatibility issues would undoubtedly lead some people to think "Hey, this might be a problem with Forge. I'll go ask the guys at Forge about it" when it could have all been avoided in the first place... [*]Also consider the value of the response itself, and not its delivery. The above reason is good enough for this. [*]And lastly, is it so much to ask that people know what they're doing for the most part when they take on something like Forge coding? You may not like how he says or does things, but this fact remains: He's taking time out of his day for you, directly or indirectly when it comes to Forge and answering people on this site.
  17. I'm glad you're interested. I was thinking about making making the edges of the chests reflect the material used for the previous chest. For instance, Iron would have wooden ties around the edges, Gold would have Iron, Diamond Would have Gold, and the crystal chest will have just the Diamond edges. The reason for this is that I don't like how the previous material used otherwise disappears. And in a 32x, it'd be a lot easier to implement than standard resolution. (I'll consider a second version adding in IC2's copper, and RP's silver taken into account... Most likely.) Also, here's another screenshot with the Gold Chest... (The edges don't look too different mainly because I haven't done the wooden edges for the Iron.)
  18. Yeah, I was extremely surprised. It looked so bland on the flattened out template... But in-game, it looked rather good, if only a simple design. But the simplicity of it just keeps growing on me, as the original chest designs look to be based off of the respective material block. We'll see how the others turn out as well. Also, according to the main JohnSmith Texture thread, I'm allowed to edit and share as long as I give credit to the original artist and that it's not for profit. So, would anyone else be interested in downloading it when I finish? I might even do the Copper and Silver chests too, even though I haven't come across support for either of those metals... You know when you type something, and you thought you only typed a little? And then it turned out you typed a lot? :l
  19. I'm glad you like it.
  20. Good to finally see some closure on this a month later.
  21. Try following my listed steps from before, but using 7-Zip instead of WinRAR. Where as WinRAR has never failed me personally, it can't hurt to try a different archiver. I'd personally say that 7-Zip is on the same level as WinRAR and actually offers better compression in quite a few cases. (though, compression isn't the issue at hand here)
  22. I've been playing around with adding support for some mods to the JohnSmith texture pack. Very... Very rudimentary support. I've added some support for a mod called "Neph's Missing Blocks". I've also recently been playing with adding support for IronChest Mod. I literally only finished (plan to make some tweaks though) the actual Iron Chest. I thought to myself "This is going to look like crap. It's far too simple". But once I saw it in-game, I thought the simplicity of it was nice. What do you think?
  23. Well, you're the second person that I've heard say they're having troubles with 64 bit WinRAR... I am personally, and have always used x32 bit WinRAR. I can't imagine why that would be a problem at all, but I'm just making the connection. I'm still pretty new here, but If the following steps don't work, then I have no idea what's wrong or how to fix it. [*]Force update Minecraft to clean it out. [*]Download Forge (current recommended version or latest) [*]Manually open the minecraft.jar using an archiver. [*]Drag all files and folders within Forge.zip into minecraft.jar (be sure to not accidentally drag them into one of the folders inside minecraft.jar) [*]Delete META-INF folder [*]Play normally If it doesn't work this time, repeat these steps using 7-Zip and see if that works. It's also a great archiver. EDIT: Wtf happened to my post? lol Anyways, I fixed it. The steps were still fine before, though.
  24. Don't use MCPatcher at all if you plan on using Forge. It'll edit classes even if you uncheck everything. Install Optifine for any texture needs. The one and only time I'd suggest MCPatcher is for HD Textures with weekly Snapshots, since very few mods are released for those... Optifine works fine with Forge.
