I think it might be an error as back before blockstates they set the block once (if memory serves me well enough). VANILLA MINECRAFT CLASSES ARE THE BEST RESOURCES WHEN MODDING I will be posting 1.15.2 modding tutorials on this channel. September 13, 20169 yr Yeah, it's just superfluous code. It is technically a bug, but one that doesn't mean anything. Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. September 13, 20169 yr Fascinating... I wonder what the actual source code looks like. It might be something that looks complex on the surface but gets reduced and optimized so that our decompiled source looks like the above. That can happen when a complex situation in one version (the initial introduction of blockstates) gets simplified in a later version, but some patches of code retain bloat. The debugger is a powerful and necessary tool in any IDE, so learn how to use it. You'll be able to tell us more and get better help here if you investigate your runtime problems in the debugger before posting.
