I've been following Mr Crayfish's Tutorials (Episode 4)

I cannot find the problem, I've seen other people have it but I don't know how they fixed it, I checked everything 1000 times for any sort of spelling or caps mistakes but I can't seem to find anything

Good evening,

I assume any moment the guys with the real knowledge will show up, but until then I want to ask you why there is a closing bracket

Quote

[13:36:18] [Client thread/ERROR] [TEXTURE ERRORS]:       textures/blocks/clear_glass).png

See it? Right in front of the png.

I do not know if this is an copypaste-error, but you might have a look aaaat... *thinking* the models json or the blockstates json. Well, I'm not very long in this business as one might suspect, but you should figure out whats up with the bracket anway.

Now good error hunting.

had "bracelet" instead of "bracket" (I guess thats from to much dwarf fortess playing)

Don't use the Model Mesher, use ModelLoader.setCustomModelResourceLocation instead. And during preInit

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

Wanna show me an example?

Also do I just get rid of the entire 'Minecraft.getMinecraft().getRenderItem().getItemModelMesher().register(Item.getItemFromBlock(block), 0, new ModelResourceLocation(block.getRegistryName(), "inventory"));'

Draco said use ModelLoader.setCustomModelResourceLocation(), Which takes in an Item, int, and a ModelResourceLocation as parameters. Which are the Item you want the ModelResourceLocation bound to the metadata of the Item and the ModelResourceLocation to be bound.

What do you mean by that?

Never mind you changed it already. The only thing you need to change is importing all of the required classes and changing 'block' to an actual Block.

Also do I do this with all items or just block items? and do I create a class for ModelResourceLocation?

ModelLoader.setCustomModelResourceLocation(Item.getItemFromBlock(blockclear_glass)), 0, new ModelResourceLocation(blockclear_glass.getRegistryName(), "inventory")); The bold are the errors, I'm sorry I'm somewhat new to this I understand java, just not super good at writing it yet

Where is your blockclear_glass? Is it in the same class? Or in a different one, if so you need to reference the class that it is in. And did you import ModelResourceLocation?

Okay now I just have to worry about the clear glass, do I want to reference it from the reference class though?
