/mods/1.6.4 , /mods/1.7.10 , etc Or just use the Game Directory option in the launcher.

You need to increase your permgen space. Google would be your friend in this case.

I've found that using java profilers, such as yourkit or jvisualvm, can see which mods are causing issues. -
