  1. The jar IS a program you can run. Open it with java not whatever you're opening it with. https://johann.loefflmann.net/en/software/jarfix/index.html
  2. 1.8 is no longer supported on this forum. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.

  4. ... You need to run the data run config, not the client/server. This is a in dev only event.
  5. Hash codes are explicitly NOT guaranteed unique. that's why equals exists and is tied to hashCode. think about it, how would you shove 96 bits of information (3 ints) into 32 bits (1 int) hash code uniquely? literally impossible. The standard practice is to try and spread out the hash codes when you can to spread out the collisions. Which is typically implemented by multiplying intermediate hash codes by some prime number. In this case 31. And no there is not 31k possible values for a vec3i hash code. there are 2^32 possibilities.

  9. 1) Don't spam, you can edit your posts. 2) https://johann.loefflmann.net/en/software/jarfix/index.html Jar files are their own executable files. If whatever tmodloader is took over the jar extension, you should reset it to java using the tool I linked.
  10. Update, you're 24 versions behind. Also, remove optifine.
  11. No, use the game directory setting in your launcher. It's more then just the mods that should be changed between setups.
  12. No, we will not "buy the rights" to anything like that. The game/code doesn't work like that. If someone wants to come along and write a public simple shader mod they should go ahead and do it.
  13. Download forge from the official files site: files.minecraftforge.net AVs like to flag anything that hasnt paid them money as un-trustworthy. So it's on you to tell if it's something you trust or not. There is nothing we can do to help you.
  14. Forge for 1.16.1 The first Forge build for 1.16.1 is now live thanks to the hard work of: covers, illy, jd, garrett, giga, and the rest of the forge crew. With their help we were also able to release the updates to MCPConfig for 1.16 and 1.16.1 the same day that vanilla did. The Nether Update has brought a lot of changes to many systems, and as with any update there are likely to be bugs. We are still evaluating and working on some of the systems like dimensions and trees to come up with the best system to allow for modders to integrate with vanilla’s new dimension system. We are also expecting Mojang to release a 1.16.2 fairly shortly and are prepared to work on updating to it as soon as they do. As with every update, there are bugs and other minor things to be expected. Please report them responsibly and have fun with the new version! Changes to the LTS There are a couple changes happening to the Long Term Support system originally introduced here. We are moving the LTS from 1.14.4 to 1.15.2 to reflect the community being more active and also changing how we chose what version the LTS will be to be more maintainable. We are now going to be supporting the latest (n) and second latest (n - 1) versions, with the reservation of potentially having the LTS being n - 2 if something is Mojang ends up really making a mess of a particular version. That being said we still will be providing critical fixes for all possible versions. Do not worry about 1.14 being instantly dropped while we are still working on updating 1.16, as we have a customary grace period for while everything is still in flux before we start strictly enforcing the LTS rules. New Team Members We are happy to announce we've added a few new members to the Forge team officially. These people have been a part of the community for a while and have been helping out a lot. The first two are new members of the 'Toolchain' team. Which is responsible for some of the backend tools, like the decompiler, update scripts, gradle and other internals. The others are joining our ever growing list of Triage team members. Who are responsible for managing the issues and pull requests on our github. They are the front line of bug reports and feature requests, treat them with respect and listen to what they tell you! Toolchain covers1624 JDLogic Triage AshersLab Curle OrionOnline pupnewfster
  15. This has been asked and answered many many times... Our mod launcher was updated to 1.16 about 18 months before it even came out. Considering our mod launcher doesn't care what you target. It works for any java application doesn't even have to be Minecraft. As for MCP, it took about 35 seconds for the RC1->Release process to run. About about 55 mins for the unit tests to run and make sure things wouldn't break for end users. 1.16->1.16.1 again took about 30 seconds, with another 55 mins of testing and making sure shit won't break. I could slap something together that "works" and release it. I could, but i won't. It's a matter of scope, and quality.

  17. We've talked about this before, it would break a crapload of server hosts and just cause more drama on their end.
  18. That is your problem, the technic launcher is super old I doubt it supports forge on modern versions. There is literally no way to 'just use the universal' that is not how any of this works anymore. We do not support 3rd party launchers. There is nothing in those launchers that is required for you to make a mod pack. You can make it quite easily on the vanilla launcher.
  19. No you don't. Use the installer. And use the vanilla mojang launcher.
  20. The universal is no longer what starts the server. Use the installer.
  21. 1.12 is no longer supported on this forum. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
  22. Set your url in your toml to a valid url, or comment it out.
  23. This would appear to be something screwing with the loading screen. As you can tell by the logo and ordering being wrong. Start removing mods and see if it stops happening.
  24. `Oracle Corporation - 1.8.0_251` Should have the LetsEncrypt's cert. However it appears it does not. I would advise you move away from Oracle's distributions and use https://adoptopenjdk.net/ Anything above 1.8u201 should work.
