Can I still see who is viewing a certian topic? For example I want to see how many members and guests are viewing a topic.

Not at the moment, but that might be something I can whip up.

There doesn't seem to be any way to toggle off the tt formatting or clear formatting completely.

Removed the edit time restriction.

Either this didn't work or there's some other restriction on editing. I edited a post a few time shortly after posting it, but now it's been about 8 minutes since it was posted and I can't seem to edit it any more.

Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.

I can now edit all of my posts again, even ones made before the migration. Thanks for the fix.

There actually is a "Remove Format" button that I didn't notice before.

You'll also get a little popup at the bottom of the text entry field when you paste formatted text that'll ask if you want to remove said formatting.

I thought that was nifty.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Since the migration, there's been a lot of spammers spamming the forums with spam posts. Does this have to do with the migration or is this just coincidental? Is there anything you could do to reduce the amount of spamming?

Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support.

1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support.

Maybe require new members to be signed up for at least 24 hours before posting?  Possibly reject posts with non-ASCII characters in the subject (or is that being unfair on genuine foreign-language posts)? Something needs to be done in any case, the forums are completely flooded with spam right now; they're becoming unusable.

That'll just delay the spamming by 24 hours, and would be pretty annoying if you registered because you want help, and then have to wait 24 hours to make a topic.

There shouldn't be any foreign-language posts here, as this is an English forum, and everybody should talk English here, so no need to worry about that. But I agree with you on the subject having to be ASCII only, however, the spammers will just change their posts to one with an ASCII-only subject.

I agree, there have been spammers spamming posts on the forum for a couple of days in a row now, and when there isn't a mod/admin online to ban/remove them, they'll stay there until one comes online.

I found another thing recently. When you have a spoiler you can't put another spoiler or text after the it or else they will all go inside the first one.

Yea, apparently we were still running an outdated version of captcha, as well as having communication issues with the backend spam service we utilize. I've been moving my girlfriend so haven't had the time needed until tonight to sit down and really crank through it.

I've implemented a few deterrents and will monitor the next few nights. Unfortunately, we were targeted hard. Hopefully these changes will bring it back down to a trickle.

Apparently they are trying to point us towards a website called xtu843. I haven't clicked on it, but when I search it on google is seems other forums have been targeted too. Just something interesting I've noticed.

Btw keep up the good work on the forum software!

Lol we were driving from TX to CA.

I'm back home in SoCal now so I should have more time this week to work on these things.

Okay so back to my earlier issue, on mobile topics have icons but threads do not so there is no way to distinguish which posts are unread, this is not much of an issue due to the "next unread thread 'omg is borkdd!!!?!!1!!'" button

You MUST fix this:

Im on an ipad, fix it you must.

Yeah, it's awful.  And might not be something the Forge team can fix.  Check the IPS Forums to see if they break too.  If so, report to them.

(IPS Forums are one of my least favorite, but still decently functional, forum software packages)

It's a theme issue, Paleo has been notified for the time being the 'fix' is to zoom out, or make your screen wider. It happens because of the way the poster info is written to not force the page down. Once Flame and Paleo get time they will fix it.

It's reproducible on ALL systems and ALL browsers just make your window smaller.

Anyways my point is WE GET IT! Don't need 30 posts about the same thing!

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

the IPS forum is fine for me

I never said anything about a browser, I said the IPS forums. And if it's fine over there, then it is a style problem.  That's all I was trying to confirm.

I also did not request another screenshot.

The next page button and the "2" button do not work for me. As soon as I click them, all the replies disappear. The only way I can view replies past the second page is with the "latest unviewed reply" button, if the next reply happens to be on page 2.

I know you are probably working really hard on fixing stuff already, but when you get around to it, there is another issue. When I try to go to the second page of a thread, it shows a loading symbol that never actually loads. This isn't a big problem though, as I can reload the page and it loads just fine.

Another issue.

If you try to select a part of a quoted post that contains an @mention and delete it, the wrong stuff gets deleted:

    • So me and a couple of friends are playing with a shitpost mod pack and one of the mods in the pack is corail tombstone and for some reason there is a problem with it, where on death to fire the player will get kicked out of the server and the tombstone will not spawn basically deleting an entire inventory, it doesn't matter what type of fire it is, whether it's from vanilla fire/lava, or from modded fire like ice&fire/lycanites and it's common enough to where everyone on the server has experienced at least once or twice and it doesn't give any crash log. a solution to this would be much appreciated thank you!
    • It is 1.12.2 - I have no idea if there is a 1.12 pack
    • Okay, but does the modpack works with 1.12 or just with 1.12.2, because I need the Forge client specifically for Minecraft 1.12, not 1.12.2
    • Version 1.19 - Forge 41.0.63 I want to create a wolf entity that I can ride, so far it seems to be working, but the problem is that when I get on the wolf, I can’t control it. I then discovered that the issue is that the server doesn’t detect that I’m riding the wolf, so I’m struggling with synchronization. However, it seems to not be working properly. As I understand it, the server receives the packet but doesn’t register it correctly. I’m a bit new to Java, and I’ll try to provide all the relevant code and prints *The comments and prints are translated by chatgpt since they were originally in Spanish* Thank you very much in advance No player is mounted, or the passenger is not a player.
