  1. For note you should update to java7 if you are using ubuntu 12.04, java6 is no longer supported in it, but that is not your problem. Always be sure (for now) to delete META-INF. And there will always be a stack trace.
  2. Look at the vanilla entities? All the code is there.
  3. Tekkit is unsupported as they modify things, go ask the tekkit forums for help.
  4. Optifine multicore would likely not help well, not enough cores on your chip, I would recommend getting smooth.
  5. As admin? You are on Windows? What directory were you doing it in, should of worked fine in my documents.
  6. After like 1500 calls in client or 10k calls in server I think, so quite literally within a few frames.
  7. That will require renderer edits, possibly incompatible unless done very well. No one has done that, especially since it is very likely that it could need shader work to be efficient.
  8. Hmm, 164 should have had the EE sound fix (EE was using something it was not supposed to, needs to update. ).
  9. Be sure to thank the person (Zero) that helped you by clicking "Thank You" in the upper-right corner of his post.
  10. I installed the related topics mod to the support board, since it is unlikely that all people are smart enough to search before they post, I may as well have it auto-search after they post. It will appear up top so it is plainly visible. The searches are cached so it will not impact forum performance like a search would. I have it set to show the top 5 results, should I change that? More? Less?
  11. You might also try MultiMC as well.
  12. Yes, but unsure about loading java6+ on PPC though...
  13. Well 'does not work' is not really descriptive enough to help. We need the log, and if the game crashes at all at any point (even if no error message) then there is always a stack trace printed to the terminal and/or log, we need that too.
  14. Yeah, I removed them.
  15. Personally I would expect most things to remain on 1.2.5 for 1 month, just due to the effort to move to 1.3. There will of course be some sooner, but 1 month is what I expect for the bulk of mods. Forge, maybe 1-2 weeks (I am hopeful).
  16. I added a few new mods: Let you disable signatures per post, good for if you link to your mod but do not want your signature being visible on the mod board itself. Thank you system, at the top-right of each post, to let you thank a person for their help. Image shadow box, so giant images posted to a thread start off at 800x### and when clicked on will expand to size and also show in a shadowbox that you can click anywhere else to exit out of. A Team page to list who is in what group, lets you see who the Forge coders are, the Forge Modders are, the excellent wiki authors are all at a glance. A simple blog system so anyone of the modders group can use. Useful if you do not have your own website or you just want a central place to post quick and rapid modding or status updates or whatever you wish, thus you do not need to create a whole new thread for it. It supports comments (disableable), categories, and a few other minor things. Membergroup prefixes, I am uncertain about keeping this one, thoughts? (removed for now) As well as a hide BBC code, it will hide the content inside of it until someone replies to that thread, do not abuse it or bans can be handed out. Any questions or so then ask.
  17. Yeah, UE has so many sub-mods that always remain so busy in their threads that UE is pretty well guaranteed a position there.
  18. Forge and many other modding things as well as almost every mod itself requires Java6 because of required features, speed, and the fact that you cannot really find Java5 anymore. Java5 is quite literally 0% of the modding community and less then 2% of overall MC usage according to Mojangs own stats.
  19. That will break it. You should do nothing beyond: Extract MCP. Extract Forge in to MCP. Place the vanilla MC jars and necessary directories in the jars folder. Run the forge install.bat/sh from the forge directory. Start modding. It should be in the readme.
  20. By 'old mac', what version of java are you running? You require at least the old Java1.6/java6.
  21. Optifine for all else.
  22. Spread it over multiple ticks?
  23. So no way to get more dragon shards eh?
  24. What version of Forge are you running, at least 152?
